What is KDVS fundraiser?
We ask our listeners and the local community for donations each spring, which allow us to bring you another year of noncommercial, freeform programming and KDVS related activities. In exchange for your donation we offer you a thank-you gift (a “premium”) consisting of music, t-shirts, or other interesting items. These premiums are donated by record labels and local businesses or are custom-ordered by KDVS.
KDVS receives no taxpayer money, no stimulus package funds, and no hush money. We receive a very modest subsidy from the student-funded Associated Students of UC Davis, underwriting from local businesses, and donations from you, our listeners. Listener donations consist of almost our entire income for our shoestring operating budget.
How can I donate to KDVS fundraiser?
You may pledge here at fundraiser.kdvs.org, or call our toll-free number at the top of the page. Operators will only be available during the week of April 18th to 24th, 2016.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit cards, and personal checks. We prefer credit card donations because it is the quickest way to fund to our operating budget and allow us to send you your premium. Cash and checks can be dropped off at the station or mailed to:

How do I pay with credit card?
Due to new university regulations, credit card information will be entered after you complete your pledge at a separate, secure site. You will receive a link to where you can complete payment for your pledge in your email confirmation. Please make sure you provide a valid email address when you make a pledge by credit card!
Can I pay using PayPal, Bitcoin, airline miles, or pyrite?
Unfortunately, no. UC Davis only allows us to accept cash, check, or credit card.
Can I make a re-occurring pledge ($10 per month for a year)?
Unfortunately, no. Our payment systems with UC Davis do not currently have this capability, although we are investigating this for the future.
What do I get in return?
A deep sense of fulfillment, fundamental inner-peace, and an ethereal connection to all living beings in the universe. You have helped keep KDVS running for another year.

What sorts of premiums are offered?

Is my donation tax-deductable?
Absolutely*! A receipt will be emailed to you listing your pledge number, donation amount, the total market value of your premiums, and KDVS' tax ID number. KDVS is a unit of the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis which is a 501(c)(3) organization.

How can I get my premiums?
Two ways. We can ship these items to you, or you can pick them up at the station on the UC Davis campus.
How do I pick up my premiums at KDVS?
All premiums except for clothing and other made-to-order items will be available for pick-up starting on April 25th provided you have already paid your donation. You can visit us at 14 Lower Freeborn Hall during the weekday (Monday through Friday) between 10 AM and 4 PM. Please ask someone to direct you towards a core staff member, and let them know you are there to pick up your fundraiser premiums. If you haven't made a pledge payment yet, a core staff member can process payments by check or cash for you right then and there.
How do I get to the KDVS radio station to pay for my pledge/pick up my premiums?
What is the estimated shipping time for mailout orders?
Please expect six to eight weeks after we process your payment to receive your premiums in the mail. Certain items, such as t-shirts, are printed after fundraiser, and while our volunteer staff tries to mail out as much as they can as soon as they can, it can take a few weekends. Feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org for an update on the status of your pledge.
How soon are made-to-order items available to pick up or to receive in the mail?
Arrival times for made-to-order premiums vary, and we process clothing orders on a first-paid first-served basis. After that, standard estimated shipping times apply. If you have questions about the status of your clothing order then please e-mail email@example.com.
What about special services/non-material premiums?
A station representative will contact you to set up details for service pledge premiums such as hosting your own radio show. Any other premiums in the pledge will be shipped out to you or will be made available for pickup separately depending on the method you indicated when making your pledge.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! That's why it's especially important that you fill out your address correctly on the pledge form. Also, please provide us with an e-mail address in case we need to reach you (we can't call internationally).
What if there's a premium I want but I can't add it to my cart when making a pledge?
If a premium is not available for you to select, we are out of the item. Additionally, some premiums which are made to order cannot be pledged for after April 30th. We are not able to add an item to your pledge if it is not displayed online.
